Established in 1991, NSD (Nick Segredakis Diving) has built over three decades of exclusive expertise in commercial underwater operations. The company serves vessels and offshore units across all Greek ports and at numerous locations worldwide.

NSD (Nick Segredakis Diving) underwater services cover the full spectrum of underwater hull maintenance — inspections, hull cleaning, propeller polishing, and the replacement of anodes and sensors — as well as technical works including insert welding, rudder and propeller repairs, and the plugging of inlets and outlets to support piping repairs. Every project is approached with tailored solutions designed to meet each client’s specific operational requirements.

NSD (Nick Segredakis Diving) holds approvals from most major classification societies and carries a landmark distinction in the Greek maritime industry — the company was the first in Greece to receive a Bureau Veritas approved method and certified diver welders for performing permanent in-water repairs.

A dedicated dive team can be rapidly mobilized anywhere in Greece or worldwide, delivering both emergency response and routine services at short notice. Supporting every operation is the company’s own 22-meter diving support vessel, ELPIDA — fully equipped to handle all types of underwater work.

NSD (Nick Segredakis Diving) has achieved full compliance with the applicable regulations for the repair of underwater welded structures, and has been awarded Attestation No. LPR.410.00.075 by Bureau Veritas.

This certification makes NSD (Nick Segredakis Diving) the first diving company in Greece to be approved by an IACS member society to perform permanent underwater repairs to a vessel’s hull while afloat — a milestone that underscores the company’s commitment to technical excellence and industry-leading standards.

Hull Cleaning

Marine fouling builds up silently — but its impact is anything but. Accumulated growth increases drag, reducing speed, sapping engine power, and driving up fuel consumption. Regular underwater hull cleaning restores your vessel’s performance and keeps operating costs in check.

Propeller Polishing

A rough propeller surface is a hidden drain on efficiency. Even minor degradation affects fuel economy and output, and a poorly maintained propeller can reduce power by up to 5%. Our underwater polishing service brings propeller surfaces back to optimal condition without taking the vessel out of the water.
